Ash started out as Star Wars-loving punk rockers from Ireland's County Down in the early ‘90s, breaking out with their debut album, 1977. Two decades on, Tim Wheeler and company are still at it—a mature but triumphantly gung-ho outfit (minus departed guitarist Charlotte Hatherley), crafting sublime power pop.
