There are no shortage of high quality Wayne Shorter performances to choose from, so it's only right that some of the less well-known selections from his astonishing career should be given a turn in the spotlight. Although, given the quality of his playing and the calibre of his collaborators—Joni Mitchell, Weather Report, Miles Davis—digging out some genuinely overlooked gems is no mean feat.
