On 23 September, Sabrina Carpenter kicked off her latest world tour, aptly named Short n’ Sweet after her blockbuster sixth album, which was released in August 2024. The opening show in Columbus, Ohio, included a mix of newer tracks and cuts from her previous album, emails i can’t send, and in true Carpenter fashion, emotions abounded: She was vengeful (“Taste”), annoyed (“Slim Pickins”), flirty (“Bed Chem”, “Juno”) and lovesick (“Lie to Girls”), and kept the fans on their toes. At one point, the pop star surprised the audience by playing a game of Spin the Bottle to determine which cover she'd perform. The night-one winner? ABBA’s “Mamma Mia”.
