Armed with just a guitar, Quebec singer/songwriter François Lachance has eagerly covered punk and dance hits. Ed Sheeran's broad explorations in pop are a particular favourite, but Lachance also writes resonant pieces evoking gifted francophone alt-rockers such as Clément Jacques—while his simmering blues and soul tinges bring to mind the modern confessionals of English songsmith James Bay.
