That demented heaviness is enough to induce vertigo, using relentless blast beats, skull-rattling overdrive and mercilessly hypnotic solos to confound and conquer listeners. The Utah band's bleak, unhinged sound—exploring themes like murder and the sweet release of death—is even more twisted than their namesake gory smiles.
