Internationally renowned Indian composer Ilaiyaraaja has written more than 6500 songs since the ‘70s, and his jazzy-but-traditional music finds entertaining expression in these upbeat clips. Ilaiyaraaja's music lends itself to narratives: “Yennodu Vaa Vaa” almost has the feel of an American musical, and “Vaanam Mella” and “Kaatrai Konjam” find something universal in the stories of their love-driven characters.
