Tim Maia’s ageless samba soul and rock ’n’ roll is rightly treasured and the husky, deep timbre of his voice found a new dimension when set amidst a grooving, funky slew of instruments. These special concert versions are lifted from two live albums released in the ‘90s and a special 1989 performance televised in Rio, when Maia played with a 30-plus piece band.
