The Eagles may be as mellow as a Malibu sunset, but as these concert recordings attest, they are also an impeccably tight live band. The country-rock harmonies soaring across “Take It Easy” are flawless, as are the riffs that drive the decadent “Life in the Fast Lane”. Even the heavily reworked version of “Hotel California” that anchors 1994’s Hell Freezes Over recreates perfectly all the wistful majesty of the legendary studio recording.
