Anne Linnet is the grand dame of Danish soft rock. Her tracks evolved from Carly Simon-style folk pop in the ‘70s to synth-heavy electropop like “Venus” (released with Marquis de Sade, the band she formed in 1983) and “Glor På Vinduer” in the '80s. Thereafter, her palette widened further into tender gospel-tinged ballads, rollicking country tunes and even Christian song-poetry like “Mild, Lattermild Og Gavmild”, from her 1989 collaboration with Danish priest and author Johannes Møllehave.
