L.A. native Lena Park got her start singing in her father's church choir, and kicked off her music career after she moved to South Korea in 1998 and released her first album, Piece. Like most Korean solo vocalists, she's best known for concert hall–sized ballads, though she's experimented with many other genres as she's taken control of the songwriting and production on her albums. But whether it's ballads, soul, R&B, or folk-pop, the main focus of her songs is her astonishing voice, which can bend up and down difficult melodies with ease, or soar sky-high.
