Lyrics

I tried to paint a picture on a Canvas but was lacking tools for it when out for inspirations in the nightskies where the streets where moonlit I met you on the dance floor running through the back door we could do it all till the sun comes out shaking our bodies like polaroid pictures we could do it all till the sun comes out and it felt like we are on the top of the world looking down at all the silly people living all their ordinary life now I know it was true We are on top of the world Far too high for our own good but that's ok cause we can do it all till the sun comes out I woke up the next morning tried to visualize it Slipped like water through my mind how could I not remember all the things about that night wanted to feel that high again so I poured out my coffee smoked my last cigarette waited until dawn then went out again saw you in the background hanging at the same club you met my eyes and grabbed on to me and it felt like we are on the top of the world looking down at all the silly people living all their ordinary life now I know it was true We are on top of the world Far too high for our own good but that's ok cause we can do it all till the sun comes out
