Repetition

In the morning I get up out of bed Smoke a cigarette I didn't even know I had Half-naked images around my head It's bleeding Seeping through the fabric And defeated I pour a glass of bourbon Oh the feeling The feeling that I had It's like I'm dreaming Though I haven't slept since I can't think of when In the yard there is A big round swimming pool With no water in it I'm not dumb but I'm a fool for falling in I wasn't even sure just what was happening When I hit my head it was an accident It felt like falling into an oblivion It felt like being cast into damnation One moment I was standing on the pavement And waking in a hospital the next And it was glorious I was victorious And it was glorious I was victorious We are savages Carousing with our clothes off Like javelins We're throwing tiki torches at our children If you don't have any children then start making them Make your children how they make them disciplined Make them grow up starving for some patience Make them grow up standing at attention Tell them there's a heaven And it's glorious We are victorious And it's glorious We are victorious And now I'm rambling Never sure when to say when Like gambling You have to pass your chips in or risk losing them To start over with nothing Repetition A beginning and a middle witout and end
