If we meet again Am I a friend? A stranger or a lover? Or another? So shall we just pretend, That we've never met? I'll say I never fell in love, You'll promise to not call my bluff. 'Cuz I've been meditating honesty, Emitting all my energies, Carefully. I'd rather be felt than seen, And everything that's happening, All these heads that are turning, The lessons I'm learning, I know that you're hurting. But I could hold you, If you're longing to be held? Yeah, I could show you, All the things that I have felt. 'Cuz I think pains an invitation to burn ego And grieving is exhausting so I think it's time to feed your, Soul. And I've been feeding different feelings Yeah, I've been struggling accepting That we are never going to love Because this fantasy's so beautiful It's hard to give up. 'Cuz, Right person, Wrong time, Wrong rhyme, Everybody says that we're falling in and out of line. Oh, why? Didn't we align? So, if we meet again Am I a friend? A stranger or a lover? Or another? I'll admit to the fables that I stated that day Like, when I said you meant nothing, was it obviously Fake? Because, of course, this song's about you And so was the last, But if I confessed my feelings would you leave me in the dark? Or requited. I don't care for requirement. I just have a couple questions, About where we failed connections. Would you say that it was you? Would you say that it was me? Would you say that it was us? And we're just simply not meant to be?
