Active since the early ‘80s, Yö have often explored the melodic end of alternative music—whether that was during their punky early years or more recently as one of Finland's biggest mainstream rock acts. Vocalist Olli Lindholm has been the only constant in the band, while Yö's shifting lineup has allowed them to traverse a landscape of diverse sounds, including riff-heavy pop-punk and carefully arranged, symphonic rock. Throughout, Lindholm has powered the music with his distinctive vocals and evocative lyrics.
