God of Comfort

We hunger, thirst, are poorly dressed and buffeted and homeless (1 Cor. 4: 11) We labor working with our hands and when reviled we bless (1 Cor. 4: 12) Sometimes we feel like the scum of the earth, like the refuse of all things Slandered while others rule as they live like kings (1 Cor. 4: 13) Through toil, hardship, sleepless nights we fight the fight of the good faith (2 Cor. 11: 27; 1 Tim. 6: 12) For the God of comfort is our strength and in Him we are safe (Ps. 28: 7; Prov. 18: 10; 2 Cor. 1: 3) Though the chafe of the dead can irritate, God's raised us to a higher place (Eph. 2: 6) We share abundantly In Jesus' sufferings And through Christ we share abundantly In comfort from the God Of all comfort and Father of mercies yeah! (2 Cor. 1: 3-4) Fret not cause of the evil doers, envy not their ways (Ps. 37: 1) For like the grass they soon will wither in a mass so fast they'll fade (Ps. 37: 2) So be still in the presence of the Lord your God and wait for Him to act (Ps. 37: 7) To grant relief to the saints while the wicked faint, retract in fear of the impact (Luke 21: 26; 2 Thess. 1: 7) Of God's wrath revealed from Heaven on that day He's glorified (Rom. 1: 18) To be marveled by the justified, who believe in His name, are not ashamed (Rom. 1: 16; 2 Thess. 1: 10) To call Him their God, who by His grace has saved us all!
