Thoughts for April I can't tell you how this thought was triggered Or the sense I have this place is getting bigger Feel like the world has swallowed up my figure Like a Lego miniature lost in the picture. It might be scripture that makes you feel purpose Or getting richer as all your profits surplus? When we stop feeling worthless... Will these questions concern us? I've learnt stuff but it still isn't enough I feel reflective now but tonight I'll live it up If I can't find a coaster I'll use my lyric-book Shut down these words: keep what I've written hush Our vision can be crushed in a single minute, Absorbed by technology. Blinded by the widgets. When life falls apart we try our best to stitch it Are dreams wasted if we never live it? ... I sit and look at the stars in the sky And wonder what I'll do if they aren't on my side When I'm gone and my heart isn't live, Will this beat carry on with the bars that I write? I stand tall and shout I give my all - I'm proud Yet I feel small right now I guess we all fall back down Tracks out: my sound floats away Sandwiched between the notes that you play What do we want? Do we hope for escape? Or hope to claim back the moments we waste? It is chosen or fate - the paths that we follow? Feel insignificant like the world swallowed Me up and spat me out on tomorrow That sick feeling - gut feeling hollow We want so much but don't know what it is Some find it in the wide-eyed smile of their kids Or travel miles to find how to live Am I over-thinking? Life is what it is.
