Forgiving myself was something easier said than done There was so much regret, and no way to forget So I lived my life on the run, try to hide it so nobody could see But my scars were cut a little to deep in my heart To open up again was so hard, cause I I thought that I, had truly lost everything My trust had died, cause I was broken once again But I looked inside, and let the pain go from my life It was time To know the truth about living The smile on my face all my joy and my faith is All heavenly And the peace that's within, true love overflowing is Given to me And I take credit for none, cause I know where they come from And it's not by man everything that I have is All heavenly, so heavenly Once I learned it for myself, suddenly my view had changed Took my eyes off myself and acknowledged my help Now I'm living a brand new way Cause the second I threw up my hands, and let go of every one of my plans HE made my past into beauty, now I stand here free Healed my brokenness, filled my emptiness And all is gained and nothing lost Showers from above, GOD's unfailing love Finally I feel complete, the weight is lifted off me, I can see
