I was in the kitchen and the clock was ticking tick tock
The eggs from the chicken were sitting and a-cookin' on the stove top
My bread was in the oven and I was in the cupboard
Looking for a knife and a stick of butter
Next thing I know I had hot toast
Oh, hot toast in the morning
With a side of eggs and oranges
Nothing makes me feel like I'm at home Like hot toast
Well I stared at the toaster till my bread popped up
Then I gave it a squeeze a corner to make sure it was done
I knew that it was ready when I heard it crunch
I was late t for school and I was starting to drool
I needed something I could sink my teeth into
