Bags were packed, was leaving town that day To start a journey that took me so far away Young and dumb, a guitar in my hand Alongside the best company we crammed inside that van And we sailed, We sailed away from Riverside With a gas tank full of hopes and dreams and reality set aside And we Sang, We sang with all our broken hearts Never knowing someday that this all would fall apart But I know, I wont regret this life I made Without my life I wouldn't be the man I am today I've lost some love, I've lost some friends, I've burnt bridges on the way But its time to take these memories And let them fade away They said don't ever change no one will ever care But something inside burning kept me fueling this affair Maybe I should have listened, Maybe I should have stayed Maybe I shouldn't have made so many stops along the way But I know, I wont regret this life I made Without my life I wouldn't be the man I am today I've lost some love, I've lost some friends, I've burnt bridges on the way But its time to take these memories And let them fade away
