Wolves welcome me from the hills Where the mist descends Along the path and by the rivers To the lakes above A passage away A journey that leads you Into the depths of these Thousands forests Under these northern skies Where the lights of sun and moon collide I ascend to the mountains Aiming high To the heights, to the skies Outreaching the highest top To see so far To see above it all Into the depths of these Thousands forests Under these northern skies Where the lights of north and stars collide Thousands of forests Where I forever dwell Where the owls are huddling Stronger and wiser than ever before Foretelling the end that is near As a token the ravens fly But the trees are standing still 'Till the last of stood Never giving up There, forever lie our last roots In the frosty ground The trees are standing still Stronger and wiser than before Resounding the enclosing sounds Oh, can you hear them sing?
