Making Me Stronger

These heavy days get heavier Every time I talk about my life, it gets scarier Every time I meet somebody good, I feel inferior Every time I get a compliment, I gotta check my interior I've always been the type to try to take a crazy risk I've also been the type not to take what he dished I've never been the best at taking any kind of hit But what they say shouldn't matter 'cause it's not legit Everybody sees a situation differently That's the reason that you got friends and enemies It's hard for us to compromise and find an in-between You mess up one time, they at your head like a guillotine Keep your head on straight and you better watch your back You'll never see the snakes coming right through the grass It's a tough time now, but it will come to pass It seems impossible but be thankful for where you're at Days get a little colder Nights get a little longer But I know that You're here right now God, You're making me stronger Days get a little colder Nights get a little longer But I know that You're here right now God, You're making me stronger I always hear people talk about how God won't put you through anything that you can't handle But if that was the case, then... Then why would you need God? Yeah I've been having a tough time Been looking for truth, but I feel like it's all lies I keep on praying, asking God for a sound mind Keep acting like I don't, but I really do know why I-I've been trying to fix the parts that's broken inside You can only understand the pain I put in my lines People say that they're for you, but then they start picking sides Looking at my life, God, I wish I could press rewind I've got a lot to make happen, so now I'm making moves Life's not what you did, but it's about what you do Walking with this chip on my shoulder like there's something to prove If I gain the world, do I win or do I really lose?
