Ending Unto Dust

I tell with a fugitive's tongue Of a human's end and the birth of something Less cruel and more forlorn From instant to instant the cosmos lost in a grain of time Sadness contaminating my heart traversing Arteries east and west to limbs That know no land of rest to eyelids that know no sleep From a bedtime story from the perfumes of the book of dreams To drifting between a time that's been and space eternal I found sorrows and darkness that endure I tell with mind absent heart cold and faith unquestioning That my departure will be a return to dust No toil beyond the body No struggle no tears I recall a day I ached for lack of love longed for riches and glory I recall a day I abandoned love loved the drawn-out abandonment In a habit to repeat the habitual in leaning on the inanimate To prop up my reason explain my unbelief I found sorrows and darkness that endure أحكى بلسان هارب نهاية إنسان و بداية كيان أكثر بؤساً و أقل طغياناً و من بين آن و آن و نسيان الكون فى ذرة زمان وحزن لوث مكانا فى قلبى فسلك شرياناً شرقاً و غرباً لأطراف لا تطأ أرض راحة و أجفان لا تنام و من بين قصة ما قبل المنام و تعطير الأنام فى تفسير الأحلام و تيه بين زمان قد كان و مكان لا يحول وجدت أحزاناً و غيوماً تدوم أحكى بعقل شارد و قلب بارد عن يقينٍ فى دينى أنه يوم رحيلى أرجع للطين فلا عناء بعد هلاك البدن ولا شقاء و لا بكاء و أذكر يوم تعست من فقر حب و شوق لجاه و مال و أذكر يوم يأست من الحب و أحببت طول الخصام و فى إعتيادى لإعادة المعتاد و فى إعتمادى على قوة الجماد كعماد عقلى و تبرير إلحادي وجدت أحزانا و غيوما تدوم
