The only spark i seem to receive
To clear up the dark and see to perceive
Is the glowing end of my freshly lit cigarette
My only friend - ever so intricate
Burning to my demise but so divinely fluorescent
Perfectly harmonized with my fruitful adolescence
Out of spite or out of kindness
Weaponized by a sterile system
In the likes of utter shyness
Struck down by pure indifference
Every flick of my lighter
Takes me a step closer to doom
But most ideas seem brighter
In a dimly lit room
Faces seem deformed
Speech begins to sound heavy
Issues become adjourned
The mind is lost when unsteady
