Sleep Escape

Wake up, it's already 1 o'clock Oh my god, get up But I don't feel like it I didn't sleep enough, was up to 7am again Insomnia is really just a piece of shit But I don't really care when I feel my lifes up in the air I don't wanna wake up and face reality To see that I am not half the person I used to be To see all my color just draining right out of me When I close my eyes The world seems so interesting again Black and purple fade into cozy places When that rem takes me I know it's not healthy But I feel better, when I am gone for a bit This is sleep escape It takes my pain away Sleep escape Because I hated how the day went Sleep escape Because I feel no more shame Sleep escape My little hide away Sleep escape My safe space That is, until the nightmares come uninvited All my worst fears come flooding in I'm swearing in my sheets Sometimes there's no escape in my sleep No escape waking up I feel like I'm going mad Time to pop another xanz Don't worry, have them legally It's cause of this anxiety I wish I could function normally I'm screaming silently Just sick of being awake at times And facing this society But I know for damn sure That I still want to live When I close my eyes The world seems so interesting again Black and purple fade into cozy places When that rem takes me I know it's not healthy But I feel better, when I am gone for a bit This is sleep escape It takes my pain away MIA, I'm missing in action
