Snow is falling
On tired souls
Cold is the feeling
Cold is the stare
Your hands grasp empty air
Snow is falling
On rooftops bare
Wood is in the fire
Fires in their nooks
They share the warmth
They feel it spreading through their bones
They're never left to be alone
A shiver down the spine
A good excuse to be held tight
A simple little smile
No subtle thoughts
Just walk on by
Leave me to myself
These dreams have fooled me once again
Surrounded by clouds
A vast expanse
A big unknown
I'm wandering around
Round & round in little circles
Drawn in by the cover
I don't want the book, I just want the read
To write another chapter
Lose myself, an endless tale
Romances in my ears they sing
I play them out all through my mind
In hope that it may help me
Find another stranger like me
The city I love, covered in snow
The streets I walk, in a golden glow
Shadows lurk, the Cathedral looms
Over the banks of fortune, the simmering womb
Fading lust bathes the laden air
Endless opportunities laid bare
Night hangs nigh, mystery's disguise
Till the orb wakes up and covers us in dust
