In Waves

In the beginning it seemed like everything would come our way Till someone said that all these little things they come in waves But when the waves came in, put out the fire, Watch they're floating away And then the waves came in a little higher Was left stoking the flames And soon the waves went over my head Oh my head, mama And telling up from down is a task, I'm so tired mama Now am I drifting further away?
