Who We Are

All my friends are doing different things Some are married some are having kids Some are single and travel round the world Some are happy to focus on their work Some are lost and trying find their way Some are present and take it day by day Regardless of their path I hope they don't look back And wonder if the choice they made would change where they are at Cause what we go through makes us who we are Keep your head up water your own grass Focus on yourself don't let nobody else distract you from being the best version of yourself Cause life will throw us curve balls And how we handle them will show our worth Remember do your best in all these little tests and praise yourself for any outcome that you get Even if it's not what you expect Life has a plan to push us to the edge There may be times where we wanna give up But keep your cool remember that you're tough And in those times when you are feeling down Don't be too proud to ask for help cause how else will we make it through If you're not there for me and I'm not there for you Look to the sky for some advice Remember all you've sacrificed We are all where we should be and Nothing happens accidentally The path we're on is all worked out Keep that in mind when things go south You get bad luck go through breakups or lose someone you love Or maybe you don't get that promotion Been persistent with no outcome Whatever will be will be Even if right now you can't see So always be ready for change in this life and always be grateful for each day you rise It may be good it may be bad you may be happy you may be sad Even if it's not what you expect Life has a plan to push us to the edge There may be times that we want to give up but keep your cool remember that you're tough and in those times when you are feeling down Don't be too proud to ask for help cause how else will we make it through If you're not there for me and I'm not there for you We are all where we should be Nothing happens accidentally Cause what we go through makes us who we are Keep your head up Water your own grass water your own grass
