From the distance, a sound brings everything together as People recognise something in the melody A smell, maybe; tickles the senses and a darkness Kisses the land Trudging to a room they go, bringing with them Golden mementos with their toes, their knees Places that it has no right to visit They laugh united by an experience As the water chases the little grains to other seas or lakes they go out, dressed into a Night Where others roam; searching for trinkets perhaps, or food, or drink, or Photographs that will never age nor forget.
