I never got a chance to say goodbye Time stops in each day As I watch shadows settle down In the background's where I'd stay I'll still wait up at the nightstand The world pulled through my chest Stood at the edge for long enough Overthinking it Fighting for the will to live, I've seen it all Swallowed everything, even excess control Our savior in many forms Yet a stranger in her arms I can't stay up all night again It's all over anyway And I won't stay in the night again To rest in a shallow grave I can't stay up all night again
