I Got Paid

This newfound lifestyle's been pretty damn good to me Real good-looking beaches Surrounded by a bunch of palm trees When work wasn't working out Went a little further south, found myself in paradise Got a drink in my hand and my toes in the sand Held up at the bar tonight Paper started rollin' in, so I rolled out Standing in a better place where I am now Ya know, I couldn't get ahead where I was before Now I got everything that I want and more Money can't buy happy that's what they say But things sure been better since I got paid Got a tour bus, no rush Gettin' it from A to B Everywhere I go most people know me So, I'm always drinking for free Had a laundry list of wish I did's and never even thought I could's Went from laminate floors to suicide doors So, damn, I got it good Paper started rollin' in, so I rolled out Standing in a better place where I am now Ya know, I couldn't get ahead where I was before Now I got everything that I want and more Money can't buy happy that's what they say But things sure been better since I got paid It's all sushi rolls and Cabernet (Sure been better since I got paid) No more overtime, minimum wage (Sure been better since I got paid) It's a party in the clouds in an Aeroplane (Sure been better since I got paid) A lot of new problems but I can't Complain (Sure been better since I got paid) Yeah
