Don't come for me Stop separating me Don't tarnish me with your heteronormativity Don't burden me Stop suffocating me Don't target me with that heteronormativity Heteronormativity Segregation's in the air There's gender separation everywhere Buy blue for boys and pink for girls Skirts for ladies, suits for men Hen dos, stag dos, girlie nights and guys' weekends It's everywhere we go and it never ends But when you scrutinise it You'll find there are infinite other valid ways To live a life that doesn't fit the mould Maybe that's "too queer" for you If that sounds too left-field for you, that's ok!
