I would have forgotten all of my poetry
And I'd say something silly like
Oh, hi, I'm not disturbing, am I?
Sitting in your chair and drinking your beer
Listening to what you think about politics
The local clublife, astral signs, litterature and fashion
Certainly is nice and interesting
And spiritually stimulating
But, oh, I find myself caught up again
In fantasies and wishful thinking
I'm going crazy, 'cause I am paralyzed, I am hypnotized
And I wish it was simple
And I wish it was easy
And I wish I could read your mind
And I wish you could see me now
Meet you somewhere out in town, or in a shop, or on a stupid party
Always with some associates, with a gang of positive and trendy people
Always busy, always occupied
Oh, how I'd love to cut through this lump and break into your privacy
Face to face, skin to skin
