Modern Day Hero

My mother always told me when I'd look up to the sky I would see the ancient heroes written in the stars at night Oh the older I did grow and deeper meanings I did find These heroes walked beside me, everyday a sacrifice To give in a time of desperation To fight for the future of mankind Oh no it's not easy But I'll try to see beyond myself Oh why is it such a challenge?
