Lyrics

I think the most important part of the song, is the come line That's the first three or four words that you say upon opening the verse Because that has the most meaning to me. What's said, the first couple of lines What sets the tone for that particular record. I take a lot of pride in the first four or five lines you hear Those are very important lines to me. The beat's gone guide me, you know I sit back and I vibe that beat, and then, the beats gone ride me through, you know The spirit's gone lead me to wherever the beat needs to be, you know what I'm saying I put the whole camp on my back Niggaz know I rep the Lion for the Citadel Run in pace, with you gun in place Let 100 spray 'til that city fell Shit he tell, ice cold That shit he sell got no price codes I'm doing well with my eyes closed Why the hell would I fold I'm told that I'm maestro And I might go a bit psycho So it's vital that I write bro If not I get to act a little bipolar See me in a court they got me cuffed up lawyer talking plea- he got me fucked up Judge keep talking about justice I'm like bet that - he like just us You know, Rock and Roll, that was some shit Chuck Berry came up with The rock and rollers don't know who the fuck Chuck Berry is now You know, the Blues was, Robert Johnson, now, the fucking Blues is Eric Clapton Like Hip-Hop is gone be the same thing I got past go with that cash flow In and out my hands like an export Moved it all down to the expo Niggas wasn't happy 'til the techs blow Catch me in the belly of the Eastside We're niggas eaten rarely and the G's ride Four deep, on a foe street That's just how the fuck the dream died That's how the fuck I got Mo' shit Popped in the back by the beau's whip Now I'm on the back of that boat, spliff In my fucking hand trying to focus Painting in the sky trying catch a buzz You were just as fucked up as the rest of us and I figured that But bitch you never getting this business back nigga I approach records like, really really differently, like than a lot of people You know I let the beat ride. I just can't sit up there and write no rap You know, I might jot down words or whatever, like words that sound good But the whole rap, the vibe or whatever comes from being in there with that beat I grew up around musicians and writers, and I was always taught write your heart Write your life. If you ain't crying when the song's done you ain't wrote the right record You know, you have to write your heart, and whoever is offended by it, fuck 'em Yeah, fuck 'em And I ain't changed I rep the same clique I ran a campaign that made the game sick In my air space I can't miss Aviator praying like a mantis Every other day I'm on that camp shit I rep Jai so hard that my amp split Second all over the campus And young Swirv want the money like the Clampetts' Doc found out through a damn fit Had 19 hustles 80 grand thick My Eyes seen struggle but I seen double or nothing make money out a can of grits And I seen trouble like my only friend Blood on my tongue can't hold it in Young on the run like Soulja Slim You dig
