I have lain here for some time
As I am wont to do each night
Clocks if there was any light to see by
Would but of hours passed inform me
Untaken by sleep my restlessness

Such is the encounter between my consciousness and the everflow
One recoils in terror and the other rejects that which should not be
The happenstance of self-awareness would I consider cruel
Were I not as humble asserting an amoral universe
No you will not think these things
No this but causes pain you shall abstain
No you see the enemy is time
No you will only live for now
I will protect you
A royal edict I issue: I ban the concept of time
I am insane!
And I protect our sanity
