Timeline

I was once foolish and disobedient I was misled and became a slave to lusts and pleasures We all were Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other But, when God our Saviour revealed His kindness and love He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done But because of His mercy He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth A new life through the Holy Spirit Once I was dead because of my disobedience and my many sins I used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world Obeying the devil The commander of the powers in the unseen world He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those Who refuse to obey God All of us used to live that way Following the passionate desires And inclinations of our sinful nature By our very nature we were subject to God's anger Just like everyone else But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much That even though we were dead because of our sins He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead It is only by God's grace that we have been saved For this is how God loved me and you He gave His one and only Son So that everyone who believes in Him will not perish But have eternal life God saved me by His grace when I believed And I can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God Salvation is not a reward for the good things I have done So that I cannot boast about it So now, because of this, there is no condemnation for me For me who belongs to Christ Jesus But does this mean I would keep on sinning so that God can show more and more of His wonderful grace Of course not! Since I have died to sin How can I continue to live in it I know that my old sinful self was crucified with Christ So that sin might lose its power over me I am no longer a slave to sin And now that I have been free from my slavery to sin I have become a slave of righteousness And now, all praise to God The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ It is by His great mercy that I have been born again Because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead Now, I live with great expectation I have a priceless inheritance An inheritance that is kept in heaven for me Pure and undefiled Beyond the reach of change and decay And through my faith, God protects me by His power Until I receive this salvation Which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see I love Him even though I have never seen Him before I do not still see Him now, but I trust Him And I rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of my soul And finally I have to say I live on earth but I'm not from here My citizenship is in Heaven And I eagerly await His glorious return He will take my weak mortal body and Change it into a glorious one like His Using the same power with which He brought Everything under His control This is the story of my past, present and future The story of a lost man, now found A blind man with his sight restored The story of redemption that screams from a bloody cross Resonating from within my spirit This is my timeline From birth, to death, to new birth, and to hope
