A moose in Maine
As long as it takes
I've been coming here for nearly 80-years
To see a moose in Maine
From my screen porch someday
On the radio the Sox game
I guess what I'm trying to say
Is I'm still here
Though it doesn't seem way
And last night in the kitchen with the lights off wishing
For the things I forgot every-time I tried to talk
The pitch has been called
Two outs and three on
There's a time there's a place
For stealing the plate
And when it's my time to go
I hope you'll notice
The moose tracks leading
Down the stairs out the back
I'm right here
I've tried to restitch and rewire
And what was that word
With a runner on 3rd
In the batters box
I'm up for the Sox
And there's a moose out my window
I've been sounding the signal
