We all fall beneath the surface
To find our purpose
In a blanket of shadows
We try to find the light
We will relinquish our former selves
Just to grow inside this hell
As if the shift in my body wasn't enough
I lose my love for my own heart
As we try to grow in the dark
I won't let the hands of self doubt be the death of me
I will tear them away from my lungs
I will tear them away
I will watch this darkness fade
I will bring the light to you
Feels like my final breath is just a whisper away
I won't be buried by my ability in pain
You reached inside of me and showed me a shining soul
I will try to find the light inside of you
This is a discovery a meditation
From who I once used to be a separation
We all fall beneath the surface
To find our purpose

We have found the light
I have grown these wings
Made of shadows
I wield a sword of light
As I fly from the gallows
