How'd you do? Did you give it all you had? Did you dig for what was good? Before deciding? How'd you do? Did you give 'em hell? Did you grab life by the horns? Or did it grab you by the belt? I did But it took a lot There were things that almost got me Things I almost got Oh man Did you stir up love? Did you find that certain person? Why not stay, see how it ends? Life and death are both just dust There's nothing that you must Why not this and why not that? We do not have answers yet If everything is all the same, then why not stay and play the game? People start to wonder why Mostly when there's pain inside Asking why is part of hurting Why ask why when things are perfect? Rather than that endless game I'll just step out of my brain Use the hands and feel the dirt I don't ask why unless things hurt Ask a child as it plays "What's the point of this small game?" The question doesn't linger long When everyone is having fun Rather than attempt the feat Of asking what's the point of me I'll run away at lightning speed Until life stabs me in the knee I know what comes eventually I know what comes eventually I wish the best to everyone To all of us I'll say "Good luck!"
